Kim Severn CNM

Kimberly Severn is an experienced and dedicated Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) who has been passionately serving women and families for over three decades. With a strong educational background and a wealth of practical experience, Kim has become a trusted and respected figure in the field of midwifery.

In 1980, Kim earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, laying the groundwork for her future career as a healthcare professional. Driven by a desire to expand her knowledge and skills, she pursued a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from George Mason University – Graduate School of Nursing in 1985.

Eager to specialize in midwifery and provide personalized care to expectant mothers, Kim furthered her education at Emory University Graduate School of Nursing, where she obtained an additional MN in Midwifery in 1986. This educational journey equipped her with the necessary expertise to support women through their entire lifespan.

Throughout her career, Kim has held significant leadership roles, including serving as the Director of Nurse Midwives at Columbia Hospital for Women in Washington, DC, from August 1988 to January 1996. During her tenure, she demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a commitment to elevating the standard of care for women during pregnancy and childbirth.

Kim’s warm and compassionate approach to midwifery has made her a beloved figure among her patients and colleagues alike. She firmly believes in the power of informed decision-making and empowering women to actively participate in their healthcare.
