In-office Procedures

At Capital Women's Care (Bethesda) we offer in-office surgical procedures. We use the latest, minimally invasive surgical techniques, allowing for a faster recovery.  A board-certified anesthesiologist provides anesthesia services on site when indicated.

Intrauterine Device (IUD)

Intrauterine devices are a long-term birth control option for women. An intrauterine device (IUD) is a little, t-shaped device that is inserted into the uterus to provide birth control.

Endometrial biopsy serves as a helpful tool in diagnosing various uterine abnormalities.

Diagnostic & Operative Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is used to diagnose or treat problems of the uterus. A hysteroscope is a thin, lighted telescope-like device.

Colposcopy & Cervical Biopsies

The purpose of a Colposcopy is to examine the cervix when cervical screening tests or pap tests are abnormal.
