Endosee® Advance In-Office Uterine Evaluation in Rockville and Germantown, MD
What is Endosee® Advance?
Endosee® Advance is a handheld device that lets your gynecologist look directly inside the uterus (uterine cavity) using a very thin camera. The exam is performed in office and typically takes just a few minutes. Real-time images help your provider find the cause of symptoms, such as abnormal bleeding or fertility concerns, and can help you plan next steps the same day.
Why we use it:
- In-office convenience – no trip to the OR for most patients
- Real-time answers – live images guide diagnosis and next steps
- Minimal downtime – most people resume normal activity soon after
- Comfort-focused – very thin scope; most report mild cramping only
Conditions Endosee® Advance helps evaluate
- Abnormal uterine bleeding (heavy, frequent, or irregular periods)
- Bleeding between periods or after menopause
- Suspected polyps or fibroids inside the uterus
- Infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss
- Unexplained pelvic pain or concerns about the uterine lining
What to expect (Option to format in table with photos similar to: https://dmvobgyn.com/novasure/novasure/)
- During your visit – You’ll rest on the exam table (like a pelvic exam). A slim tube with a tiny camera is gently passed through the cervix into the uterus.
- Visualization – Your provider views the uterine cavity on a screen and may capture images.
- Biopsy if needed – A small tissue sample may be taken to confirm findings.
- Review & plan – Results and next steps are discussed before you leave.
How long it takes: The visualization itself is usually a few minutes; your total visit time is typically under 30–45 minutes.
