Dr. Sarah Elizabeth Swartz is a fellowship-trained, minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon at Capital Women’s Care in Rockville, Maryland. She completed her fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at ChristianaCare Hospital and her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. A proud alumna of the Medical College of Georgia and Claremont McKenna College, Dr. Swartz brings a strong foundation in both medicine and human rights to her clinical practice.

Dr. Swartz is widely published and has presented nationally on topics ranging from surgical innovation and gender bias in healthcare to improving patient outcomes in gynecologic surgery. Her research interests include racial and socioeconomic disparities in surgical care and perioperative pain management. Passionate about education, she has designed and delivered lectures for medical students and residents and is a recipient of numerous teaching and compassion-based awards.
Beyond medicine, Dr. Swartz is an avid alpine skier, violinist, photographer, and craft beer enthusiast who enjoys exploring local breweries and the performing arts.
